Brooke Hogan is finding comfort in a final phone call with her estranged WWE legend father, as new details emerge about their last private exchange before his unexpected death.
Following Hulk Hogan’s death on July 24, 2025, from cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida, his daughter Brooke Hogan has expressed relief that she had one last chance to speak with him, despite their estrangement in his final years.

Brooke learned of his death on Thursday morning when her brother Nick shared the news with her husband, Steven Oleksy, through a text message. Brooke and Hulk had been estranged for years, due to a series of issues and the way the WWE legend treated his daughter.
Their final conversation was in early September 2023, roughly two weeks before Hulk married Sky Daily. During that call, Brooke reportedly expressed “deep love and concern” and urged him to slow down and take better care of his declining health.

Hogan did not take her advice, but during that exchange, he offered her a vague apology without specifying its nature. Though she did not attend the wedding, her husband, Steven, had attempted multiple times to bridge the gap between her and her father.
He reached out during Brooke’s life-threatening childbirth, but Hogan reportedly responded coldly and never met his grandchildren. According to one source, Hulk “ultimately wanted a relationship with her under his terms.”

Despite years of difficulty, Brooke is grateful she was able to say “I love you” during their last conversation. She said she feels at peace knowing she did everything she could to support and protect her estranged father throughout the years.
It’s not just Hulk that Brooke blames for her tough upbringing. Rather, she holds both her parents accountable despite her mother blaming the WWE wrestler.

Linda Hogan, Hulk’s former wife, became emotional in a recent social media post as she opened up about long-standing family struggles and her estranged relationship with her daughter, Brooke. However, Brooke didn’t stay silent and fired back at her mother’s claims.
In a video originally posted via her Instagram stories on March 26, 2025, Linda opened up about her loneliness, revealing that while she’s usually fine on her own, that day felt different. Overcome with emotion, she reflected on the past, “It’s been 15 or longer years since I left Hulk Hogan, and my family is the worst mess.”

The “Hogan Knows Best” star then opened up about her relationship with her daughter, “Brooke doesn’t talk to us. She’s had twins, she got married, she didn’t tell us.”
The 65-year-old added, “She had a huge fight with Terry. I don’t know how that reflected on to me, but she cut me out too. I haven’t talked to her for seven years, almost eight years now.” However, Linda revealed that she still has a relationship with her and Hulk’s son, Nick, whom she labeled “such a good boy.”

The TV personality admitted she had never shared such a raw and emotional post before, but she felt the need to be honest about her past with Hulk, the struggles within their marriage, and the lasting impact it has had. She didn’t hold back, calling him a “complete liar” and a “sex addict.”
What frustrated her even more was seeing him move on effortlessly, promoting brands as if nothing had happened. “He’s such a hero, right? Not,” she said, giving a thumbs down.
Despite giving Hulk multiple chances to reconcile and rebuild their family, Linda claimed he never made an effort. Years later, she still feels the weight of their fractured relationships. While she hopes things will improve, she made it clear that, despite the pain, she enjoys living alone and has no interest in ever remarrying.
Meanwhile, Brooke didn’t hold back after her mother tearfully blamed Hulk for their family’s fractures. “There was a recent video posted by my mother that was concerning enough for people to send to me, that had made me feel the need to address the tip of a very large iceberg that is my immediate family,” she said in a statement on Instagram.

Brooke insisted her mother was just as responsible for the turmoil, calling out both parents for years of issues. The singer also made it clear that her decision to cut ties with her parents was not made lightly. She acknowledged that while she was only sharing a fraction of her experience, it barely scratched the surface of what she had endured.
She went on to describe her mother’s video as mild compared to the behavior she had witnessed for most of her life, adding that Linda had previously made and deleted false claims.

Despite this, Brooke expressed some sympathy for her mother, “That being said, she has been through A LOT of trauma and pain, my heart breaks for her. You can’t control how others treat you but you can control how you treat others and cope with things.”
Brooke emphasized that the reasons for her estrangement from her father were separate from those for her mother. She explained that her choices were based on how each parent had treated her throughout her life.

She then opened up about the painful experiences she had endured. “I have been EXTREMELY verbally and mentally abused since childhood. Sadly, it would frequently turn physical. And sometimes it’s not by the person you would assume, abuse comes in all shapes and sizes,” she alleged.
The 36-year-old described how this cycle of mistreatment stripped her of confidence and self-esteem. Even as an adult, she continued to face verbal attacks, cruel messages, and public humiliation.

She revealed that she had defended poor behavior out of love, only to realize later she had been misled, manipulated, and lied to. Brooke also noted that she had been ridiculed for past mistakes and had even watched others profit from her embarrassment. Through it all, she remained silent and strong, until now.
Brooke, who is determined to reclaim her life, declared, “I am breaking the chain. It ends with ME.” She noted that she made the painful decision to cut ties with her parents despite the deep love she still had for them.

Having cut ties, she released a statement in September 2023 to quell media speculations when she didn’t attend her father’s third wedding.
She noted, “For my own journey to healing and happiness, I have chosen to create some distance between myself and my family, and am focusing on people and things that heal my heart and align with my own personal beliefs, goals, and values. I wish him well ❤️.”
Now, the singer has admitted, “Inside of me, there is a little girl who desperately wants and needs her mom and dad. No one wants this, to feel so much pain and not have parents. But their behavior became more painful than their absence.”

Her focus is on her future, her husband, her children, and the life she has worked hard to build. “I hope everyone can give me the chance to do that without injecting any more poison into it,” she concluded.
On January 19, 2025, Brooke had shared the joyful news of the birth of her twins. She revealed that she had been staying off social media to focus on welcoming her two little ones, Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene Oleksy, who were born a couple of days prior, on January 15. She swooned, “Our hearts have been made whole by the arrival of these two sweet souls we get to love. God is good.”

Just like her daughter, Linda seems to have moved on with her life after ending her marriage with Hulk. Aside from her recent breakdown, she remains focused as an animal lover and activist.
Her website states, “After a widely publicized divorce, Linda found the strength to rebuild her life and not look back. She encourages women everywhere that you can live and love again at any age. Linda is often asked to appear on TV news and talk shows to offer her advice on divorce, relationships, and women’s empowerment.”
The V personality remains active in her advocacy work, supporting the Humane Society, pet adoption agencies, and the Children’s Special Olympics Miami Chapter.
Alongside her charitable efforts, she pursues various business ventures, including upcoming skincare and clothing lines, while also managing her avocado farm, Sunny Girl Avocados, in Southern California. Linda splits her time between Miami and Los Angeles and enjoys life with her boyfriend, Charley, and their eleven dogs.
Even so, Linda took a journey to the past in her book, “Wrestling the Hulk,” where she shares her journey of breaking free from her 24-year marriage to wrestling icon Hulk.
Her official website gives readers a glimpse into it, sharing, “Two decades after they wed, Linda found herself pinned in a corner when she learned of her husband’s affair with a younger woman. As she struggled with this crushing realization, she found herself thrust even further into the public eye when her son was involved in a devastating car accident.”

As per the website, soon, Linda’s life “became the target of an ambush of harsh criticism and relentless speculation by the media.” Therefore, in the book, she opens up for the first time about the struggles she faced behind the scenes while married to Hulk, from infidelity to mistreatment, and how she found the strength to start over.
Mother and daughter have forged their own paths away from Hulk, each navigating life’s ups and downs in their own way. In the wake of his passing, Linda focuses on advocacy and business ventures, while Brooke embraces motherhood and healing.
